Ease in God Realization
All the various activities you feel ‘you have to do, you have to complete this task’ if all of this work was accomplished, you would be so pleased ! In the same way, all the mutable things, persons, objects, incidents, situations-circumstances, if they all became non-existent, then it would be so blissful - there is no end to such joy !
You are worried about your daughter’s marriage, that the girl has grown up, what is to be done ? When she gets a good home, a good husband, and you are able to get them married as per your means, and get her settled in her new home, then you will be so joyful. All your worries leave you, knowing that your girls has found a good home and family, and she will be happy there. In this way, all the worrisome activities, and worldly things, situations-circumstances, incidents, etc. if it were all to return to their own home, if it were to merge into Nature (Prakriti), and you were detached from it, then it will be so joyful !
You must rise above this changing world, and not get trapped in it, then you will experience the joy of liberation. On becoming disinclined towards the world, and inclined towards God, you will experience eternal joy. In this manner, it is very easy for man to become entirely free of sorrows and attain eternal bliss. If you do not believe that it is easy, then surely at least it is possible. But is it possible for animals, birds, trees etc. Is it possible for ghosts, spirits, demons etc. ? Is it possible for cow, buffalo, goat, sheep,etc. ? In fact it is only possible for human beings - not only that, rather it is very easy. If you do not believe then I have no solution for that. If by some imagination you believe that he just says such things ! I have had no intoxicants . I have not come under the influence of some alcohol and said such things. Then too, you do not have faith then I have no solution for this.
God Realization is very easy, very simple. There is nothing in this world that is as easy as God Realization, nothing has been, nothing will be, nothing can ever be. God by showering His grace has bestowed this human body, for his attainment. Therefore if His realization is not with ease, then what will be easy ? What other purpose does man have besides realizing God ? If man wants to suffer pain, then he should go to hell, if he wants to enjoy pleasures, he should go to heaven and if he wants to rise above the two, and attain the real truth (tattva, God) then come in human body. Such an exceptional state is possible only in this human body, and very quickly. In this the only work that you have to do is to awaken the ardent thirst, longing and quest within that I want to take this only. The thirst should be so strong, that neither wealth nor sense enjoyments will pull you towards them. Pleasures and comfort, honor and respect - these will not attract you. Just as in childhood the toys appeared very pleasing, blowing the horn was so much fun, but now you have risen above these things. Now they are no longer pleasing. Do clay horses and blowing horns appear to be fun ? Do you ever think about taking those toys in your hands and making loud sounds ? Just as you have risen above these, in the same way, rise above the objects, sense enjoyments, money, pleasure, comforts, honor, praise, name and fame, acclamation, then that ‘tattva’ (truth) will be realized on its own. Neither obeisance will remain, nor acclamation, nor objects, nor money, nor family, nor body, nor this situation and circumstance. These will not remain. While these are here, rise above them, then realization of the ‘tattva’ (Truth, God) will take place immediately; because it is ever attained. Only due to remaining bogged down over here, the ‘tattva’ is not being realized.
