|| Shri Hari ||
Without
serving the world, the attachment towards work will not dissipate.
Just
like when you do any work for a company, the owner of that company is happy
with you, similarly, by doing the work of the world, the master of the world
(God) is happy with you.
Just
like mother's milk is not for herself, but is only for the child,
similarly,
all the things available to mankind, are not for our self, they are only for
others.
Just
as a sensuous person has a lure for sense enjoyments, an obsessed person has a
weakness for his family, and a greedy man has love for his money, in the same
way a good person is immersed in seeing to the welfare of all beings.
People
are to be rendered service to and things that to be properly and beneficently
utilized.
By
directing actions to the service of others, actions flow to the world, and the
aspirant becomes free from actions.
One
who wants to feel oneness at all times with the all pervasive God, it is
essential for him to be devoted to the welfare of all living beings.
Pilgrimage,
fasting, charity, penance, reflection, meditation and samadhi (all good acts)
performed by the gross, subtle and causal body in good faith, selflessly done
for others, become "svadharma" and if done with personal motive, they
become "paradharma".
The
best use of a thing, is using it for the benefit of others.
A
good man is he who is engaged in seeing to the welfare of others.
Our
life is not for ourselves, rather it is for the benefit of others.
The
essence of serving is being saddened by the suffering of others.
On
doing good the society is served. By not doing bad, the entire universe is
served. By being free of desire, we are served. By loving (having sense of my
very own) God, God is served.
He who turns towards God with a true heart, through him naturally and innately welfare of others takes place.
