Now, how can God become
pleased? Well, we do not want to take
anything even from God, rather we are to only
give. Just as when a child goes far
away from the mother, then mother really misses him. I have heard such things from mothers. When Diwali and other festivals come, then mothers say, what sweets to make? My son is not at home , who to make delicious things for and who to
feed? When the son comes home, the
mother makes delicious dishes, and she feeds him and inturn become pleased. Similarly,
we are God's children who have gone away to some foreign land ! Now God says, what to do? What to give? The son is not at home ! He is busy in making money and
accumulating possessions. He is busy in
playing and running around.

Janm koti agh naasahin tabahin || (Manas,
Sunker, 44/2)
But nowadays all are inclined towards money, possessions, family, rest-relaxation, name-fame,
taste, and fancier things !
He who has expectation from
the world, but also does bhajan (is devoted and worships God), he
is better than those who are not worshiping and remembering God. "Tasmaat kenaapyupaayen manah krushne
niveshayet" (Srimad Bhagwat 7/1/31)
But if you wish to immediately see the
glories of God's divine name
repetition, then that too will be seem,
when you become engaged in God with a true and sincere heart. Those that have done worship and remembrance
(bhajan) of God they have something
extra-ordinary in them. I have seen
many such ones. I have seen their state before Naam Japa, and after they became engaged in Naam Japa
what their state was ! However these individuals were engrossed and
enthusiastic in Naam Japa.
This is about those days when
I was studying, Studying was going on till about 10 pm at
night. One day I went out after 10
pm. There was a lake at the edge of the forest, and on it's shore was a
sadhu (ascetic) sitting. I knew this sadhu. He was
doing Naam Japa of Lord Ram (Ram Ram
Ram..) and he was also crying. What is the
matter, I asked? He said – many days have gone by
without worship and devotion (bhajan) of God, now what to do? How will the days that have gone by, be of
any use? With such thought, his eyes
were flowing with tears. The time that
has slipped by the fingers, will not come again. Even if I behold God today, then too the
time that has gone by cannot be fulfilled !
If this time had not been wasted, then I would have met God earlier. I would have not stayed
so many days in separation from God.
When the electricity is
radiating light, at that very moment
if one threads the bead, then it will be good,
because later on it will become dark.
In the same way, while this human body is there, if we do
bhajan, then we can realize God. This opportunity will not come back
again! (to be continued)
