How to Serve?

How to Serve?
(Sewaa Kaise Karen ?)

Question: — For serving, neither do we have money, nor any power, nor any intellect, nor any ability, nor any capability. Also, we don't have any material goods, but we want to serve, so how should we do it?
Answer: — A very good question. The answer to this will also not be ordinary or inferior, listen attentively. Serving means—others are benefited and are happy. At present he is happy and in future he is benefited (liberated). Besides this, what else is service?
When we don't have any power then how shall we take anyone's happiness? For this I will tell you one very good thing from my perspective. There is one wealthy man. If he bears any loss, or he is suffering terribly from a disease, or his son dies; in such situations, empathize with him that - A very sad thing has happened that your son has died. You have suffered a great loss, a very improper thing indeed that taken place. In so saying,  heartily unite with him in his sorrow then he will be happy, he will be served. Similarly if anyone becomes very rich and has lots of property, and if his son becomes very smart, then seeing him you become joyful from within and say "That is so wonderful". By this, he will become happy.
It has been aaid about the marks of a saint — "Par Dukh Dukh Sukh Sukh Dekhe Par" (Manas 7.38.1). Being saddened by the sorrows of others and becoming joyful in other's happiness — this service can be done without any money, without any power, without any other things. Feeling saddened by seeing other's sorrow, that "O Lord! What shall we do? We don't have any thing, neither money, nor any power, by which we can serve him, what should we do? - In this manner feel a heartfelt sorowful feeling within. On the other hand, by seeing others happy becoming joyful within, then it is great service. Simply by meeting and looking at such a person who holds such sentiments in his heart, others feel at peace.
Thinking that by money etc. we will serve others, we will do charity- is a very gross intellect. In fact I would say that it is an inferior intellect. You have not given importance to service; you have given importance to the money.Whoever gives importance to money, he is lowly. That thing which is the dirt of your hand, you consider it essential for serving others—this is a very false (spoilt) intellect. By serving with money etc., egoism creeps in, others are disrespected. Whomsoever you will serve, you will bully him and exhert control over him that "I have given you so much, have helped you so much." If he goes against you, then you will bad-mouth him that "Look I helped him so much but now he is going against me." In this manner, conflict will arise! If you serve with your knowledge and anyone else also does the same, then it will give birth to jealousy. If you give good discourses and if someone else's discourse is better than yours, then jealousy creeps in.You say that "We are serving people", but in reality you are not serving, you are fighting.
