How to Renounce Desires? .........(continued)

As long as you assume "me-mine" while relating with those things and persons that are close to you, then even though those things and persons will slip away, but the relationship will remain with you. When you buy goods, sell them, fill the warehouse, empty the warehouse, by every touch of the hand – there is gains or losses. Similarly, if you accept this world as your own, then the hand that looses will strike sometime. If you want to get trapped by accepting as your own, then it is your wish. If you offer it to God, then while the objects remain with you, God will accept these as His own.
Someone may ask, that if a thief steals and offers the stolen goods to God, then will God accept these offerings? The answer to that is that in fact these things are all God's anyway. You and me have forced these things upon ourselves, we have put our stamp on it. Follow the right path! Accept God's things as His. Tell me - are you able to exert your lordship over them ? When you are not able to have control or mastery over them, then how are they yours? Then what is the difficulty in accepting them as His? Simply you have to leave dishonesty and accept honesty - the name for this is "liberation" (mukti). It is not ours at all, but we have accepted it as ours. God is ours and we have not accepted Him as ours. The body, senses, mind, intellect also are not ours. When these are also not ours; then how can the family, wealth, etc. be ours? God said - "now let us go from here" then Yes! Maharaj ! Go joyfully, there is no more work here. It is God's work alone that has to be done.
Jahaan rakhenge Ramji, wahaa rahenge das
Gentlemen! It is a very easy and straight-forward point. Have mercy! Understand the real nature of this essence, this divinity. In the beginning, greed, attraction, sense of mine-ness, appear somewhat difficult. Tell God that "Maharaj! Everything is Yours only" Leave the things as they are. The family will remain as – is. Only accept from within – "O' Lord! He Naath! All this is not mine, everything is only Yours." In just that much, God will be pleased. God will regard this as a great favour. In what way will this be a favour? You are liberated, free - this itself is a favour to God. Just like on mother's request, the child drinks milk, then mother becomes pleased. As if the son is doing a favour to his mother, as if he is gratifying the mother. The son says - "Maa! Due to your wishes, I am drinking the milk. I have done you a great favour." Then mother also accepts that the son has much obliged her by drinking the milk. Similarly on Thakurji's (God's) saying - "You gave Me; you have gratified Me." In other words, you have become free, the bondage has been lifted. This is all that is meant by gratification, or else, what would one do to gratify God? Even on assuming the things as ours, then too they are God's. Now accept them as God's and surrender them to Him. In reality, you also belong to God. You are simply putting your stamp on it and becoming unhappy for no reason. Now that your outlook has improved, you will not be unhappy."
On entirely giving up desires and surrendering them, the sorrow comes to an end and there is joy and only joy. The fruit of getting rid of desires is not God Realization. God is self-evident, desires are like a curtain. On renouncing desires, that curtain will be removed. God IS (existent). He is visibly and perceptibly AS-IS. Sorrows entirely become non-existent. The root cause of all the sorrows in the world is desire for pleasure and happiness. We are all independent in renouncing these desires. When ever we want we can renounce these. Therefore it is in renouncing desires, that human life has its significance.
