Gems of Satsang - 4

As such, all goodness is God's and all evilness is man's. Just as water is seen in taps, but it does not come from there, it comes from some reservoir, similarly, all good things come from God's grace.
Nothing further can sprout from the seed that is boiled or roasted, similarly, alcohol burns away, it destroys the sprouting of "dharma." He who drinks alcohol cannot contemplate on essential truths.

This human body has been attained, therefore you do not realize it's rarity (durlabhtaah). Do not let your time go by uselessly. Pray to the Lord "He Naath! Let me not forget You." Have the feeling that may someone be served through me. However much you can serve, that much is your total service, and that much only the world expects from you. However much you can do easily, do that much favor and kindness "upkaar", and remember the Lord. God is pleased simply by our remembrance - "achyutah Smrutimaatrena" Have the sentiments of seeing to what is beneficial for all, and remember the Lord. Make proper use of your abilities, then liberation will be attained. Worship the Lord with your actions"svakarmanaa tambhyarchya" (Gita 18/46)
It is a rule that an incapable, makes others incapable. A weak man makes others weak. Capable man makes others capable.

Time, understanding, all possession / things, and capability – these all are acquired, and will go away. If you surrender these to the Lord, You will realize God. To surrender these to the Lord, is "Bhakti yoga" (discipline of devotion). To surrender these to Nature, is "Jnana yog" (Discipline of Knowledge) and to surrender these to the world, is "Karma yog" (Discipline of Action or Selfless Service). If you surrender these to your egoism (I), then this becomes Yoga of Birth and Death (janam-maran-yog)! Whoever these belong to, give it to that, then you will be liberated.

This human body is not for taking, it is for giving. We are indebted to all beings; as we have favor and support "upkaar" of all beings, therefore serve all.

Human body has been received by God's grace. After wandering in 8.4 million wombs, this soul in between by Lord's grace bestows this human body. The Lord gives this opportunity. This body is a rarity even for the "devatas" (demi-gods). Shankracharyaji has said -
Manushyatvam  mumukshtvam mahaapurushasanshrayah à¥¥
                                           (Vivekchudaamani 3)
"Human birth, desire for liberation, and association of great realized soul – these three are a rarity. The cause of these three, is only God's grace."
There are only two that see to the welfare of all beings without any reason, - God and His devotees -
