The Eminence of Bhakti (Love and Devotion)
भक्तिकी श्रेष्ठता

continued.....
From the perspective of knowledge,  God says ‒‘न त्तन्नासदुच्यते’ (गीता १३ ।१३) ‘That Supreme Eternal called neither being nor non-being’.  From the perspective of Devotion,  God says ‒‘सदसच्चाहमर्जुन’ (गीता ९।१९)   Sadasacchahum Arjuna” (Gita 9/19) ‘O’ Arjuna!   I am both Being and Non-being.’ therefore a devotee sees God everywhere ‒
सो अनन्य जाके असि मति न टरइ हनुमंत ।
मैं सेवक सचराचर   रूप   स्वामि भगवंत ॥                                                                              (मानस,किष्किन्धा॰३)
Everything is only God - as such sentiments continue,  the sense of I-ness is wiped out, and only the one God remains.
तू तू करता तू भया,    मुझमें रही न हूँ ।
वारी फेरी बलि गई, जित देखूँ तित तू ॥

"Tut u kartaa tu bhayaa, mujh mein rahi na hoon |
Vaari pheri bali gayi, jit dekhu tit tu ||

I-You-This-That nothing remains,  only God remains.  In knowledge too,  I-You-This-That nothing remains,  only the One Existence-Consciousness-Bliss Absolute Brahma remains.   But the bliss of knowledge is peaceful,  uninterrupted,  unchanging.   The bliss of Devotion is ever increasing . It is the nature of love to increase.  Just as in the boiling milk bounces,  in the same way, in the bliss of devotion (bhakti),  the bouncing and rallying continues on.   Seeing Lord Ram,  the enlightened King Janak says ‒
इन्हहि बिलोकत अति अनुरागा ।
बरबस  ब्रह्मसुखहि  मन  त्यागा ॥
                                                               (मानस, बाल॰२१६।३)
There is uninterrupted bliss in ‘Brahmamukh’ and in ‘ati anuraag’ that is everlasting relish. It means that even on attaining enlightenment, liberation one does not entirely become free of personal hunger,  rather there remains a hunger of everlasting relish.
Even a Karmayogi attains liberation.  He who does not believe in God, can also attain liberation.  In Jain religion,  there is belief in liberation,  a place where the liberated souls go.   Therefore, even when one does not believe in God,  he can attain liberation or knowledge, but to love is impossible.  Love is exceptional.  Even God comes  under the sway of love.  ‒‘अहं भक्तपराधीन:’ ‘ahambhaktparaadheen’,  God does not come under the sway of the person who has attained knowledge (jnani).      God has given everyone the power of discrimination (vivek jnana), whereby they can become liberated, and rise about the inert,  and become My beloved.  God is an embodiment of knowledge and is eternally perfect.  therefore God does not hunger (quest) for knowledge.  But he most certainly pines for love (prem pipaasu).  Therefore God says ‒
मय्यर्पितमनोयुद्धिर्यो मद्धक्त: स मे प्रिय: । (गीता १२।१४
“Mayyarpitamanobuddhiryo madbhaktah sa me priyah”  (Gita 12/14).
“He who gives his mind-intellect to Me, that devotee of Mine,  is most dear to Me”.   (continued)
