Essence of Karmayog - Discipline of Action
(Karmayog ka Tattva)
First and the foremost,  I am sharing with you one point.  Please give your full attention to it.    Is divinity (Essence, God)  present everywhere or not?    The answer to this is that those who believe in God,  they will all say, that God is every where.   This is the main point.  On this subject, I am sharing four points.

1)  God is everywhere
2)  God is present at all times
3)  God is in everything
4)  God belongs to everyone.

It is not that He is close to me and distant from you.   God belongs to even the worst of worst of sinners,   with the worst of conduct,  as much as, He belongs to saints and great souls,  liberated person,   enlightened beings,  and to the lovers of God.  God is not distant whatsoever from His side. Rather it is the being (jeev) who is distant.

God is everywhere, therefore, is He present here or not?    If God is not here,   then it cannot be said that He is present in all places.   We can say that besides this place,  He is everywhere, but then too the use of the word "everywhere"  cannot be used.   In the same way,  God is present at all times,  therefore He is He present right now  or not?   If he is not present right now,  then who would not dare  to say that that He is present at all times.   Similarly God is in all things,  then is He in us or not?  Is God present or not in the body, life breath,  senses,  mind,  intellect and ego (I am)  or not?  If He is not in these things then how can one say that God is present in all things If he is in all things-  then he is also in me. There is no "believer" who dares to stay that God is not within him.  If he is not mine, then saying He is everyones --   this is improper.  All beings are His "ansh"  (part of Him) -  "mamaivaansho jeevaloke"  (Gita 15/7),  Ishvar ansh Jeev abinaasi (Manas. Uttar.  117/1).  God says that I am the eternal well-wisher of all beings -  "Suhrudam sarvabhootaanaam"  (Gita 5/29),  It is not that God is not a well-wisher of any one being,  such a thing is not possible.   That which is everywhere,  is in all things and is everyone's -  for attaining such a God, what is one to do?  Exercise and proceed with any one "yog"  (disciplines).   Here the thread (discussion) is on Karmayog, therefore I am sharing points about Karmayog.

When will we have an eternal relationship (yog, union) with God?   When we will not do any work for ourselves.   Eating-drinking,  standing-sitting,  sleeping-waking,  contemplation,  worship and adoration and deep trance all of these are not for our selves at all, then genuine "karmayog" will take place.   By doing things for one's self,   it will be "bhog"  (self indulgence),  not "yog"  (Union).   This is the main point.

For ourselves we need to do nothing whatsoever -   on listening to this a man stalls, that if we do not do for ourselves, then who do we do for?   I tell you one thing,   if it is opposed to your views, then forgive me.   Even "japa" (divine name repetition) is not for you,   even austerities is not for you,  deep trance (samadhi) is also not for you,  prayer is also not for you  -  all these do not need to be done for ourselves.   The reason being that in essence we are a part (ansh) of God -

"Ishvar ansh Jeeva abinashi |  Chetan Amal Sahaj Sukhraasi ||   (7/117/1)
Soul being a part of God is naturally sentient, pure and an embodiment of bliss.

What does one have to do for that which is consciousness,  untainted (free of all flaws) and ever blissful?   For that one has to do nothing at all.    (to be continued)
