Way to Attain Eternal Peace
(Param Shaanti ka Upaaya)

Shree Hari

Prakrutaiva cha karmaani kriyamaanaani sarvashah |
Yah paschyati tathaatmaanamakartaaram sa paschyati ||  (Gita 13/29)
He who knows that all actions take place through Nature,  sees himself as a non-doer. And when he sees himself as a non-doer then -
Yasya naahakruto baavo buddirasya na lipyate |
Hatvaapi sa imaamllokaanan hanti na nibadhyate ||  (Gita 18/17)
Though he kills, then too as such he neither kills, nor is bound by sins.
Man is bound only due to sense of I-ness, and this sense of I-ness is non-existent as such.  It is only assumed to be so.  And that which has been accepted,  simply by not-accepting, it is released.  This is your, mine and everyone's experience.  Therefore accept this point, that this body is not me and is not mine.  The body is separate and I am separate.
Vaasaansi jeernaani yathaa bihaaya navaani gruhynaati naroparaani ||  (Gita 2/22)
Just as a man takes off his torn clothes and wears new ones, then the clothes are not the man,  in the same way, this body too is not me and not for me.  If we continue to increase the sense of me and mine, thinking that I will become learned, I will be  a scholar,  I will be an orator, a lecturer,  I will become great, I will become rich, very wealthy and prosperous,  and  I will  have a large family.  In this mannerif you continue to increase the sense of me and mine, then you will not attain peace and happiness.  And whenever you leave sense of me and mine,  then at that very moment "sa shaantimadhigacchyati" You will attain peace.  Then a question arises that  -
How does one attain Peace?
By increasing sense of me and mine, lack of peace arises on its own.  The more there is the sense of me and mine, that much more there will be lack of peace.  And wherever there is renunciation of me and mine, there instantly there will be peace.
Tyaagaacchaantirantaram  (Gita 12/12)

It is a simple straight-forward point,  that while relating with the world, you may say that this land, house, wife, son, family are mine, but from within have no sense of mine-ness, "aasakti" infatuation or attachment towards it.  (to be continued)
