Attaining God
(Bhagavatpraapti)
(continued...)
What should one do to see God? Man should repeat the divine name and pray to the Lord "O' Lord" "He Naath!" "Let me never forget You." With this, he will develop love for God, and when love develops, God will appear.

So long as there remains the wish to `do' or to `gain' anything for one's self, till then, one does not perceive the eternal God.

Where every actions has a beginning and an end, then how could its fruit be without an end? So God who is infinite element, is not attainable through actions.

God's attainment results only from having a fervent longing for God. The main reason for not having such a deep longing, is the desire for enjoyment of worldly pleasures.
In the Satyayuga etc., whatever Godly attainment was achieved by the great saints, the same is available today as well, to all in the Kaliyuga.
The satisfaction of pleasure is not forever, and it is not for all, but the attainment of God is open to all and forever.
In the attainment of God, there is primacy of feelings (bhaav) and not of action.
**** **** **** ****
God is not attained by obstinacy, but by true devotion (intense longing).
**** **** **** ****
In the attainment of God, predominantly man needs spiritual sentiments (feelings) and good conduct, not high caste or creed.
**** **** **** ****
The extent to which there is primacy of discrimination, feelings and detachment (renunciation of attachment) in attaining God, that much actions are not as important.

Where every actions has a beginning and an end, then how could its fruit be without an end? So God who is infinite element, is not attainable through actions.
**** **** **** ****
Keen desire for attaining God, creates the burning fire of separation, which destroys the sins of unlimited births and enables attainment of God.
**** **** **** ****
The absence of keen desire for God-attainment, primarily results from desire for worldly pleasures, hopes and enjoyment.
**** **** **** ****
Ordinarily, if anything could be equally secured by all, than it is God itself. Excepting God, nothing could normally be acquired by everyone.
**** **** **** ****
We cannot achieve anything except God and, whatever else is acquired, would go away in nothingness.
